What a print shop needs to know about mobile forms
12 Aug 2025
How a print shop deals with mobile forms — and what usually goes wrong.
The problem: a 404 that still returns 200. This breaks mobile forms for a print shop.
The fix was to delete the old entry, wait for TTL to expire, and re-add mobile forms with the correct value. We scheduled it for 3 AM so nobody lost traffic.
Big agencies solve mobile forms with a team. We solve it with a checklist and a dig command. The result is the same; the invoice is shorter.
The job started when a print shop realised their mobile forms had been wrong for months. Nobody noticed because the site still loaded.
Related work on this site follows the same principle: one job, a real inbox, no theatre. a print shop did not need four analytics dashboards to know that Tuesdays are slow.
Complexity is the enemy of uptime. a print shop had three layers of proxy in front of a site that gets two hundred visits a day. We replaced it with a static page and correct mobile forms.
Our own site had a 404 that still returns 200 for three days before a colleague noticed. We added it to the pre-launch checklist the same afternoon.
