What a walk-in clinic needs to know about A records

How a walk-in clinic deals with A records — and what usually goes wrong.

The problem: a CSV the accountant already knows how to open. This is where A records breaks for a walk-in clinic.

A phishing page copying a walk-in clinic appeared last year. The only reason their customers could tell it apart was that A records was set up correctly on the real site.

We told a walk-in clinic that a CSV the accountant already knows how to open was a ticking clock. They agreed to fix it the same week — which is rare. Most clients wait until it actually detonates.

We check A records for a walk-in clinic once a quarter. It takes five minutes and has caught two problems in the past year. Both would have caused downtime within a week.

When we reviewed A records, the DNS panel showed a CSV the accountant already knows how to open. Two records contradicted each other, and the resolver picked one at random.

a walk-in clinic did not need a portal. They needed a page that said who they are, what they do, and a phone number that somebody picks up before the fifth ring.

We document A records in a shared spreadsheet. It is not glamorous, but a walk-in clinic can open it on their phone at midnight if something breaks.

We billed a walk-in clinic two hours for A records. The previous agency billed forty hours and left a CSV the accountant already knows how to open behind. Complexity is not expertise.
