Setting up analytics tags for a yoga studio

The problem: a certificate that expires on a Sunday. analytics tags slows the page for a yoga studio.

a yoga studio did not need a portal. They needed a page that said who they are, what they do, and a phone number that somebody picks up before the fifth ring.

A friend of the owner at a yoga studio had set up analytics tags years ago. When we audited, the config still pointed at a server they stopped paying for in 2024.

After the move, a certificate that expires on a Sunday broke search indexing for a yoga studio. Google kept serving the old pages for another nineteen days.

Fixing analytics tags cost less than the lunch meeting where a yoga studio decided to wait another quarter. Waiting is never free.

Crawlers and people want the same thing from analytics tags: one URL, a title that matches the heading, and a next link that goes somewhere real.

Search consoles like honest sitemaps. Every loc should be a document. Reserving ten thousand empty shells and hoping Google does not notice is not a strategy for analytics tags.

Before you touch analytics tags, take a screenshot of the current state. Half of our emergency calls come from people who cannot remember what was there before the change.
