shared inboxes for a driving school
6 May 2025
How a driving school deals with shared inboxes — and what usually goes wrong.
The problem: a staging URL left in the sitemap. The shared inboxes check fails for a driving school.
When we reviewed shared inboxes, the DNS panel showed a staging URL left in the sitemap. Two records contradicted each other, and the resolver picked one at random.
We found a staging URL left in the sitemap during a routine check of shared inboxes. The site had been leaking referrer data for six weeks before anyone noticed.
We do not start with a platform when handling shared inboxes. We write down who types what, who gets the mail, and what must not get lost. That list is always shorter than a vendor pitch deck.
We document shared inboxes in a shared spreadsheet. It is not glamorous, but a driving school can open it on their phone at midnight if something breaks.
Test shared inboxes from outside your network before you call it done. Your office Wi-Fi might cache the old answer for another six hours.
