static hosting for a photo studio

10 Apr 2026

How a photo studio deals with static hosting — and what usually goes wrong.

Site files HTML, CSS, images Deploy static hosting Host photo-studio.com Visitor loads page static hosting a plugin login…

The problem: a plugin login nobody has used since March. This breaks static hosting for a photo studio.

We got a call from a photo studio on a Friday. Their static hosting had expired overnight, and the booking page was returning errors to every visitor.

Before you touch static hosting, take a screenshot of the current state. Half of our emergency calls come from people who cannot remember what was there before the change.

Instead of migrating static hosting all at once, we ran both configurations in parallel for a week. The switch happened on a Wednesday morning — the quietest traffic window.

Two-factor on the registrar account is the single highest-value thing we do for a photo studio when managing static hosting. Everything else can be rebuilt; a stolen domain cannot.

We hand over a one-page document after every static hosting job. It says what was changed, what the login is, and what to check if something feels wrong. a photo studio keeps it in a drawer they actually open.
