What a florist needs to know about booking forms
20 Mar 2026
How a florist deals with booking forms — and what usually goes wrong.
The problem: a robots.txt that disallows the blog. This breaks booking forms for a florist.
We once forgot to renew booking forms for a weekend project and it took down a page that a florist linked to from a print flyer. We now set auto-renew on everything.
If you only touch booking forms once a year, a dashboard is extra risk. Files, a mailbox you read, and a person who still answers will outlast any SaaS control panel.
We write notes like this one because the same problems come back. If someone at a florist reads it and avoids a robots.txt that disallows the blog, the note paid for itself.
A form that collects data for a florist should say where the message goes. Nine fields and a captcha on a quiet Tuesday will cost you the person who actually wanted to pay.
We do not start with a platform when handling booking forms. We write down who types what, who gets the mail, and what must not get lost. That list is always shorter than a vendor pitch deck.
You do not need a status page if you have never gone down. a florist is on month fourteen of zero downtime, and the secret is boring: correct booking forms and a host that does not oversell.
