Setting up certificate renewals for a florist
13 May 2026
How a florist deals with certificate renewals — and what usually goes wrong.
The problem: a registrar login nobody wrote down. The certificate chain breaks for a florist.
We solved certificate renewals for a florist by moving it behind a reverse proxy. The old configuration stayed live as a fallback for forty-eight hours, then we pulled it.
When we onboard a florist, the first thing we check is certificate renewals. It tells us more about the previous provider than any sales call.
If the hours on Google disagree with the site, people trust Google and then arrive angry. certificate renewals will not fix that. The hours page will.
Every technical decision for a florist comes back to one question: does this help the person looking at the site right now? If certificate renewals is invisible to that person, it is working.
We keep a playbook for certificate renewals. Step one is always the same: pull the live record with dig, compare it to what the admin panel shows, and fix the mismatch.
Fixing certificate renewals cost less than the lunch meeting where a florist decided to wait another quarter. Waiting is never free.
