Managing cookie banners at a yoga studio

How a yoga studio deals with cookie banners — and what usually goes wrong.

The problem: HTTP bookmarks after a forced HTTPS move. cookie banners slows the page for a yoga studio.

A friend of the owner at a yoga studio had set up cookie banners years ago. When we audited, the config still pointed at a server they stopped paying for in 2024.

We solved cookie banners for a yoga studio by moving it behind a reverse proxy. The old configuration stayed live as a fallback for forty-eight hours, then we pulled it.

When a yoga studio asked for a quote on cookie banners, we sent a one-paragraph email instead of a slide deck. They signed the same day.

A phishing page copying a yoga studio appeared last year. The only reason their customers could tell it apart was that cookie banners was set up correctly on the real site.

We hand over a one-page document after every cookie banners job. It says what was changed, what the login is, and what to check if something feels wrong. a yoga studio keeps it in a drawer they actually open.

We run a monthly diff on DNS for a yoga studio. If a record changes and nobody in the team made the change, we get an alert. HTTP bookmarks after a forced HTTPS move was caught this way last quarter.

The worst cookie banners failure we have seen at a yoga studio was invisible for eight months. The backup existed but had never been tested, and the data inside was three migrations old.
