Setting up TLS certificates for a yoga studio

17 May 2026

How a yoga studio deals with TLS certificates — and what usually goes wrong.

Browser requests page yogstudio.com TLS certificates Certificate identical titles on… Certificate Authority issues cert

The problem: identical titles on every inner page. The certificate chain breaks for a yoga studio.

A free certificate and a correct TLS certificates record will do more for a yoga studio than a redesign that ships with identical titles on every inner page still in place.

We do not start with a platform when handling TLS certificates. We write down who types what, who gets the mail, and what must not get lost. That list is always shorter than a vendor pitch deck.

If you only touch TLS certificates once a year, a dashboard is extra risk. Files, a mailbox you read, and a person who still answers will outlast any SaaS control panel.

Related work on this site follows the same principle: one job, a real inbox, no theatre. a yoga studio did not need four analytics dashboards to know that Tuesdays are slow.

We document TLS certificates in a shared spreadsheet. It is not glamorous, but a yoga studio can open it on their phone at midnight if something breaks.

When a yoga studio asked for a quote on TLS certificates, we sent a one-paragraph email instead of a slide deck. They signed the same day.

Most providers let you export TLS certificates as a zone file. We keep one in version control for every client. If the hosting vanishes, the zone file rebuilds the domain in minutes.
