If the hours on Google disagree with the site, people trust Google and then arrive angry. backups will not fix that. The hours page will.
We document backups in a shared spreadsheet. It is not glamorous, but a photo studio can open it on their phone at midnight if something breaks.
The owner at a photo studio asked why backups matters. We showed them the error page their customers see when it breaks. That ended the conversation.
We have seen agencies charge a photo studio for a yearly backups audit that consists of a screenshot and a paragraph. Ours is a working config file they can apply themselves.
Every technical decision for a photo studio comes back to one question: does this help the person looking at the site right now? If backups is invisible to that person, it is working.
We check backups for a photo studio once a quarter. It takes five minutes and has caught two problems in the past year. Both would have caused downtime within a week.
