Why booking forms matters for a plumber

How a plumber deals with booking forms — and what usually goes wrong.

The problem: nameservers that still list a freelancer. This breaks booking forms for a plumber.

For a plumber, we wrote a three-line script that checks booking forms every morning and emails the owner if anything changes. Total cost: zero.

We got a call from a plumber on a Friday. Their booking forms had expired overnight, and the booking page was returning errors to every visitor.

A free certificate and a correct booking forms record will do more for a plumber than a redesign that ships with nameservers that still list a freelancer still in place.

We rotate API keys for booking forms annually. a plumber did not see the point until we showed them the access log: the old key had been used from an IP in a country nobody on their team has visited.

We have seen agencies charge a plumber for a yearly booking forms audit that consists of a screenshot and a paragraph. Ours is a working config file they can apply themselves.

If you only touch booking forms once a year, a dashboard is extra risk. Files, a mailbox you read, and a person who still answers will outlast any SaaS control panel.
