How a dental office should handle DMARC
30 Jun 2026
How a dental office deals with DMARC — and what usually goes wrong.
The problem: HTTP bookmarks after a forced HTTPS move. The DMARC check fails for a dental office.
Instead of migrating DMARC all at once, we ran both configurations in parallel for a week. The switch happened on a Wednesday morning — the quietest traffic window.
The registrar dashboard crashed twice while we were fixing DMARC for a dental office. We filed a ticket; they replied four days later with a template answer.
A phishing page copying a dental office appeared last year. The only reason their customers could tell it apart was that DMARC was set up correctly on the real site.
The hosting bill for a dental office is twelve dollars a month. Their old provider charged eighty and included a page builder nobody used. DMARC was broken on both plans.
Before you touch DMARC, take a screenshot of the current state. Half of our emergency calls come from people who cannot remember what was there before the change.
Nobody at a dental office could remember who had configured DMARC. The credentials were in a text file inside a folder called OLD STUFF on a shared drive.
