Setting up MX records for a florist

How a florist deals with MX records — and what usually goes wrong.

The problem: a parked domain with only a logo. The MX records check fails for a florist.

We document MX records in a shared spreadsheet. It is not glamorous, but a florist can open it on their phone at midnight if something breaks.

A static site for a florist does not need a CDN, a build pipeline, or a container. It needs correct MX records and a host that stays online.

We billed a florist two hours for MX records. The previous agency billed forty hours and left a parked domain with only a logo behind. Complexity is not expertise.

We have seen agencies charge a florist for a yearly MX records audit that consists of a screenshot and a paragraph. Ours is a working config file they can apply themselves.

Fixing MX records cost less than the lunch meeting where a florist decided to wait another quarter. Waiting is never free.
