Managing nameservers at a print shop
10 Oct 2025
How a print shop deals with nameservers — and what usually goes wrong.
The problem: identical titles on every inner page. This is where nameservers breaks for a print shop.
We quoted a print shop half what the other firm did because we did not propose features they did not ask for. The scope was nameservers, not a rebrand.
Maintenance is not glamorous, but it is the reason a print shop has not had downtime since we took over nameservers. The invoice is small and the peace of mind is large.
For a print shop, the boring path won: HTTPS, a backup that we have restored once on purpose, and a calendar reminder for nameservers.
When a print shop asked for a quote on nameservers, we sent a one-paragraph email instead of a slide deck. They signed the same day.
a print shop did not need a portal. They needed a page that said who they are, what they do, and a phone number that somebody picks up before the fifth ring.
Complexity is the enemy of uptime. a print shop had three layers of proxy in front of a site that gets two hundred visits a day. We replaced it with a static page and correct nameservers.
a print shop did not want to hear about nameservers. They wanted to know: will the site work tomorrow morning. The answer was yes, but only if we fix identical titles on every inner page today.
